CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
“During our kitchen remodel Indigo was a delight to work with. Aside from the quality of all his work, which was excellent, he has a very strong problem solving ability (of which we had several) and was able to articulate the benefits and trade-offs of each approach. Over time we shortened this to "if it was your kitchen, what would you do?" and we found that a great way to balance effort, cost and quality for the best outcomes. Aside from his own work, the recommendations he made for design, cabinetry and worktop fabricators were all top notch and extremely well priced compared to some alternatives we had explored before. Indigo exceeded our expectations.”- Roger M. - Woodway - 2023
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
“I can't recommend Indigo more for any home improvement project. He is a meticulous and conscientious craftsman who delivers what he promises. Even the other professionals he brought on for particular projects (flooring, electrical, plumbing, etc.) commented on his precise and expert work - it made their job easier. I LOVE what he did for us and would refer him to my friends with absolutely no reservations. He's amazing.” - DEREK D. - LAKE FOREST PARK - 2022
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
“We worked with Indigo on a remodel project that included adding a new bedroom in our basement. Indigo's attention to detail on the project far beyond our expectations, creating a new space for our growing family that was on-time and on-budget. He was great to work with throughout the process from initial idea to finished product. We know exactly where to turn if we need any additional remodel work done in the future.” - JOE T. - BALLARD - 2022
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
“Faced with the overwhelming undertaking of our first kitchen remodel, we called indigo. We had a loose design from our architect and some rough ideas of our own, but it was Indigo's keen sense of design and space that really helped drive the direction, all the while keeping us on budget. He is meticulous, punctual, cleaned up every speck of saw dust before he left for the day and did all he could to make us as comfortable as possible during construction. The end result is beyond expectation - dream kitchen - and I cannot recommend Hook Carpentry & Construction enough.” - SARAH F. - FREMONT - 2021
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
“Indigo Hook was our primary contractor for a comprehensive kitchen remodel in Spring 2021. Indigo did an amazing job working with us to give us a fantastic new kitchen. We had Indigo take down a wall and install new cabinets and reconfigure other elements of the room. The results are outstanding and Indigo is great to work with as he is not only a detail oriented contractor but also a great designer with a lot of experience. He shows up when he says he will and is very professional and thorough. We will be using Indigo on our next project and I can enthusiastically recommend him to anybody needing a remodel. “ - ADAM L. - BROADVIEW - 2021

“Indigo Hook is our go-to for home improvement projects! He’s completed a few upgrades to our home like installing brand new French doors and completing a garage conversion. His work is top quality and his attention to detail is superb. Indigo also keeps his workspace neat and tidy, which is always a bonus. He’s also got a good eye for design and aesthetics which elevates his work further. I highly recommend the services that Indigo Hook provides!” - ALEXI & MACKENZIE M. - BROADVIEW - 2021
CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
“Indigo is a true wizard. He created a sense of security for our new home by building the perfect fence and door that magically transformed what was a blight into a feeling of warmth and love every time I use it. We built a outdoor sauna in our backyard which saved our sanity during the pandemic. Indigo created a platform/shower station with it that everyone who visits is in awe of its grace and workmanship. Hire this man.” - DAREK M. - GREENWOOD - 2022
Indigo’s Bio:
Indigo Hook was raised on Vashon, Island WA. The son of a career artist, woodcarver and painter, Indigo could (safely) wield an axe for the family’s firewood supply before he could ride a bike (it was the 70’s). Indigo grew up immersed in a local community of resourceful, creative thinkers, artists and makers who prioritized nature and working with environmentally sustainable materials.
Throughout high school and beyond, Indigo acquired the practice and experience of learning to use a wide variety of hand and power tools inside a busy wood shop. Indigo was taught repetitive and highly detailed craft work. This shop position required significant concentration, meticulous focus and patience - ultimately shaping how he approaches new projects today.
In the early 2000’s, Indigo made the move to Seattle and was brought into various construction companies through longtime friends in the city. He was an entry level carpenter, laborer and capable extra hand learning the ropes. He enjoyed taking on projects outside of carpentry for companies like Sheppard Stone Works - finding satisfaction in hardscaping, building retaining walls, fountains, outdoor fireplaces, stone patios and walkways. Working outside and creating something with stone and garden was always welcome.
In 2015 Indigo accepted a carpentry position with Bennion Construction - a Seattle-based custom design firm owned and operated by his good friend Patrick Bennion. Indigo thrived at Bennion, was intricately involved across multiple active jobs, problem solving and prioritizing client communication, always accessible to those who needed him.
In 2017 Indigo launched his one-man / word-of-mouth outfit, Hook Carpentry & Construction. Over the course of the pandemic, Indigo has completed large-scale remodels and several shorter-term projects of his choosing. As the owner of his own business, he can be selective about where his energies and talents are focused. Making sure the work is done right and with care.
In his personal life: Indigo is a drummer, loves playing loud when he can, happiest next to his longtime love Rachel, their three children, Iris, Harry, Max. and king of rescue dogs - Scout.
